These terms cover orders placed with Florelle Florists LLC, use of this website, standing orders, weddings and events. They are short because most of what matters is a conversation — but the fresh-flower exception below is important and we want it read.
Ordering
This site is a catalogue, not a checkout. You send an enquiry, a florist confirms the flowers, the price and the delivery window by email or phone, and the order exists once we confirm it in writing. Nothing is charged before that confirmation. We may decline an order if the market cannot supply the flowers, if the address is outside our delivery area, or if the request is for something we do not think we can do well.
Prices and payment
Prices are in US dollars and include hand-tying, wrapping and a card. Delivery is quoted separately and shown on the invoice before you pay. We accept payment by Stripe invoice or by phone. We do not store card details. Prices can change with the market; the price on your confirmed invoice is the price you pay.
Fresh goods: the exception to change-of-mind
Flowers are perishable. Once a bouquet has been cut and delivered, it cannot be returned or resold, so change-of-mind cancellation is not available after the flowers are made. What we do offer instead is a freshness promise: if the flowers arrive damaged, or a stem fails within seven days, send one photograph within 48 hours of delivery and we will replace the bouquet or refund it. This is in addition to your statutory rights, not instead of them.
Please do not return flowers to the studio — by the time they arrive back they tell us nothing. A photograph is faster for both of us.
Cancellation and changes
You can change or cancel an order up to 24 hours before the delivery date at no cost. Inside 24 hours the flowers have usually been bought, and we may charge the cost of the stock. Weddings and events have a separate schedule set out in the written plan, usually a deposit with staged refunds.
Delivery
We deliver to the address you give us. If nobody is home we will try a neighbour or the building desk and photograph the handover; if neither is available we will call before attempting again. We cannot accept liability for a delivery that fails because the address or the recipient's phone number was wrong, or because a hospital or venue refused the flowers under its own rules. Timed windows are a booking, not a guarantee against traffic; if we are late we will tell you before you have to ask.
Substitutions
Where a flower is unavailable we will substitute like for like and tell you before delivery. We will not downgrade the value of a bouquet to protect a margin — if the market is short, we will ask whether you want the substitute or the money back.
Standing orders and subscriptions
Standing orders run week to week with no minimum term. Pause or cancel before the weekly cut-off by replying to any delivery email or calling the studio. We bill monthly in arrears. If a delivery is missed because nobody told us the recipient was away, we will hold the flowers for 24 hours rather than leave them out.
Weddings and events
Weddings are governed by a written plan and a deposit. The plan sets out quantities, varieties, vessel sizes, delivery times and the total. Changes are possible up to four weeks before the date, subject to the market. Cancellation inside four weeks forfeits the deposit; inside two weeks the balance is payable, because the flowers are ordered and the date cannot be resold.
Liability
We are responsible for loss or damage caused by our negligence, and nothing in these terms limits liability for death, personal injury or fraud. Beyond that, our liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it. We are not liable for indirect losses such as a missed photograph or a delayed event where the delay was outside our control.
Website content
The photographs on this site show the style and scale of our work; flowers are natural and vary in color, shape and size. The written descriptions and stem counts are the accurate part. We own the text and images on this site and you may not republish them without permission.
Governing law and complaints
These terms are governed by the law of the State of New York. If something goes wrong, email hello@florelle.com first — most problems are a delivery window or a stem count and can be fixed the same day. If we cannot resolve it, the courts of New York County have jurisdiction.
