Privacy notice

Last updated 18 October 2026

This notice explains what we collect when you enquire, order or browse, why we hold it, and how to have it removed. It is written in plain English rather than legal shorthand; if anything is unclear, email us and we will explain it.

Who we are

Florelle Florists LLC (“Florelle”, “we”) is a flower studio at Studio 3, 214 Wythe Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11249. For any question about this notice or your data, write to hello@florelle.com or call +1 (718) 555-0142.

What we collect

  • Enquiry details — the name, email, phone number, occasion, date, budget and message you send through the contact form or by email.
  • Order details — the delivery address, recipient name, card message and any instructions you give us. We keep these to fulfil the order and to answer questions afterwards.
  • Payment records — invoices are issued through Stripe. We see the amount, the date and the last four digits of the card; we never see or store the full card number.
  • Subscription preferences — rhythm, size, palette notes, dislikes, and whether there is a cat in the house. We keep these so you do not have to repeat them.
  • Technical data — if you accept optional analytics, we record page views and approximate location at city level. We do not record keystrokes, session recordings or heatmaps.

Why we hold it

To answer your enquiry, to make and deliver what you ordered, to issue an invoice, to run a standing order you have asked for, and to meet our tax and accounting obligations. Where we rely on consent — the optional analytics, and the Friday note — you can withdraw it at any time without affecting your order.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not become orders are deleted after twelve months. Order and invoice records are kept for seven years because tax law requires it. Subscription preferences are kept until you stop the subscription, then for twelve months in case you come back. Analytics data is aggregated after fourteen months.

Who we share it with

Only the people who need it to complete the work: Stripe for payment, our carrier for nationwide deliveries, our email provider for the Friday note, and our accountant at year end. We do not sell data, we do not rent lists, and we do not run advertising retargeting on this site. If a lawful request comes from a court or a regulator, we will comply and tell you unless we are prohibited from doing so.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to a particular use. Email hello@florelle.com and we will respond within 30 days. If you are in California, you also have the right to know whether we sell or share personal information — we do not — and to opt out of any such sale, which is not applicable here.

Cookies and local storage

This site sets no advertising cookies. It stores one local key to remember your cookie choice, and — only if you accept — analytics cookies. The detail is on the cookie notice.

Children

The site is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, email us and we will delete it.

Security

Enquiries are stored on a server with restricted access, and payment is handled entirely by Stripe. No system is perfect; if we ever suffer a breach that affects your data, we will tell you promptly and tell you what we know.

Changes

If this notice changes materially we will put the new version on this page and change the date at the top. We will not apply a new purpose to data you gave us under the old one without asking.
