This site is deliberately small on tracking. One local storage key remembers your choice; analytics load only if you accept; nothing else is set.
What is stored, and why
| Name | Type | Purpose | Lasts |
|---|---|---|---|
florelle_consent_v1 | Local storage | Remembers whether you accepted, rejected or customised optional analytics, so we do not ask again. | Until you clear it |
_fl_a | Cookie (optional) | Aggregate page views: which pages people read, which they leave. No cross-site tracking, no advertising. | 14 months |
_fl_s | Session cookie (optional) | Groups the pages in one visit so a single reader is not counted ten times. | 30 minutes |
What we do not use
No advertising cookies. No retargeting pixels. No session recording, heatmaps or keystroke capture. No social media embeds that set cookies before you interact with them. If we ever add a payment page, Stripe sets its own cookies on that page under its own policy — we will say so at the time.
Your three options
When the banner appears you can accept all, reject optional, or open preferences. Rejecting optional analytics does not limit anything on the site: the enquiry form, the journal and the collection pages all work the same. Your choice is stored locally and can be changed at any time using “Cookie preferences” in the footer.
Clearing your choice
Clearing site data in your browser removes the stored choice, and the banner will appear again on your next visit. That is the intended behaviour, not a bug.
Third parties on this site
Fonts are served from this domain rather than a font CDN, so no third party sees your IP when the page loads. There are no embedded videos, no social plugins and no advertising tags. If you pay an invoice, Stripe handles that on its own page under its own policy; we do not embed Stripe scripts here.
Analytics we would use, if you accept
Aggregate page views, referring site, device type and approximate city. We use it to decide which pages are worth writing and which are not. We do not build profiles, and we do not combine it with enquiry data to identify individuals.
