Delivery

Cut in the morning, delivered the same day

Same-day across New York City by 2pm. Next-day nationwide. Everything is packed upright and in water — a bouquet that arrives dry has lost a day before you see it.

The cut-off, explained

2pm ET is not an arbitrary number. The van leaves at 3pm, and everything on it has to be tied, wrapped and in water before then. An order at 2:05pm is an order we would have to rush, and a rushed bouquet is a bruised bouquet. If you miss it, call — sometimes there is room, and we will say so rather than take the order and hope.

Nationwide, honestly

Nationwide orders are packed upright in a box with a water source and handed to a carrier we have used for years. They arrive next day by 8pm local in most ZIPs. If you are sending to a rural address or a hotel, tell us — we will check the route before taking the order. Plants do not ship: a boxed plant in a van for two days is not a plant we would sell.

Packaging

Kraft paper, cotton twine, a printed care card. No cellophane, no dyed tissue, no branded ribbon. The vase is not included unless you order one; we would rather you used the one you already have than bought a fourth.

Questions

Delivery, in practice

What happens if nobody is home?
We leave the bouquet with a neighbour or the building desk and photograph the handover. If neither exists, we call the recipient before trying again — we do not leave flowers on a step in the sun.
Can I choose a delivery time?
A two-hour window in the city for a $10 timed fee. We confirm the window by phone the day before. For weddings and funerals we work to the minute and do not charge extra.
How are flowers packed?
Hand-tied, wrapped in kraft, stems in water, boxed upright for nationwide shipping. The box is designed to be opened, not photographed.
Do you deliver to hospitals?
Yes, with two conditions: no lilies and no soil, and a ward name rather than just the hospital. Most hospitals will not accept flowers without both.
What if the flowers arrive damaged?
Send one photograph within 48 hours and we replace the bouquet. No return shipping, no argument. This is the fresh-goods exception in our terms and it is deliberate.
Can I collect from the studio?
Yes, by appointment, Tuesday to Saturday. Collection is $8 less than delivery in the city.

The Friday note

What came in, what is nearly gone.

A short letter every other Friday from the studio bench: what the market had, which flowers are peaking, and what we are making with them.
